Hot bite and happy crew! Summer fishing on the Columbia River near Astoria, OR was in full swing as I took Emma and their crew out for a half-day Chinook salmon adventure with Brock Johnson's Guide Service. The early morning air was crisp, and partly cloudy skies provided perfect conditions for our shared 6-hour morning salmon hunt. We set out at the crack of dawn, ready to tackle some of the best salmon fishing the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

With our gear rigged and ready, we employed a mix of fly fishing, drift fishing, and bank fishing techniques to target the prized Chinook salmon. The Columbia's waters were teeming with life, and it wasn't long before we started getting hits. Emma's crew showed some real skill, landing a nice 12-inch Chinook salmon that put up quite a fight. We also managed to hook into a beautiful 13-inch rainbow trout, adding some variety to our catch. The action wasn't limited to just salmon and trout, though.
